Hello Lovelies,

This weekend I am participating in a launch party for Shark Bait on Facebook (Come join us!) so I thought it would be great to meet the author!

Nancy E. Miller is the romantic suspense author of Shark Bait and Crystal Unicorns, lives near St. Louis with her husband and three dogs, pygmy goats, chickens and a cranky rooster named Ketchup. Her degree is in Psychology and Sociology. She has worked in education and mental health as a case manager and crisis counselor.

Let’s jump right in! Welcome to An Angell’s Life of Bookish Goodness! How are you?

Doing well, thank you. I’m exciting and anxious about my new book.

Says every author ever when they’re being honest! What is the current book you are promoting?

My new romantic suspense, Shark Bait. I have my first Romantic Suspense, Crystal Unicorns, already on Amazon. This one is being published by OWSINK as both an ebook and paperback.

Sounds like a fun read. Who is your favorite character in your book and why?

Two characters. Penelope and Charlie, the Chihuahuas. They provide comic relief and also help telegraph the two main character’s emotional states.

Pets are often my favorite part of books. What inspired this book?

My dream agent wrote in an interview that she loved tiger sharks and would jump on a book that included her beloved tiger sharks.  I took the idea and ran with it.  She turned it down.

That’s a bummer, but at least you got an awesome story out of the deal, right? What is your next project?

Another Romantic Suspense, Desperate Overtures. If you chase a serial killer long enough, he will catch you. Unless you have a great team at your side.

What is one place you would like to visit and why?

Ireland. I have a book based there and would love to go for the beauty and research.

Ooh, Ireland is on my list of places to visit too! How do you write your books?

I daydream a great deal.  Then I start writing down the daydreams, create a rough outline so I know where the story ends up, and then start writing.

What is one great lesson you have learned as a writer?

If you have a question, there’s an answer out there. You just have to do the research.  If there isn’t one available, make it up. It’s called fiction for a reason.

Great advice! If you could never write again, what would you do?

Paint, quilt, crafts.

What is your favorite word?

My least favorite is Inappropriate because it suggests one should not go against the established rules. My favorites all go in my books.

I like that. Did you love learning more about Nancy Miller?
