Hello Lovelies,

Man, October was quite the month! I was stuck most of the month, unable to make progress on any of my goals and then suddenly everything is moving faster than I can even begin to process. I am short on the money needed for the move, which is happening next week so if anyone could make a donation (See the pretty blue button on the right) or buy from our shop that would really help us out so much! This week is finishing up the final touches on home repairs, packing, and contacting a realtor.

I decided to go ahead and do the Dreammaker challenge December 17th and it should be a fantastic challenge. I know I am really focusing on my own new goals as this year of transformation really has not gone how I had planned.

I also got James’s disability paperwork submitted, re-published the e-book version of A Penslinger’s Ponderings Vol 1.  and made progress on updating the paperback and the Maximize Your Book Tour Masterclass. The job listings have really opened up but after several weeks of frantic applying for everything I qualified for I am taking a step back to focus on moving and forming a better gameplan for the job hunt. Fortunately, my sister has already hooked me up with a couple of part-time jobs to help with finances until the house sells. I am willing to do whatever it takes to keep us going and moving forward. No more being stuck in limbo.

With what spare time I have, I will continue listing items for sale on the site, re-releasing my backlog of courses and books, and start working on new content. One way or another I am getting out of being stuck, no matter what.

Every month, we announce a question that members can answer in their IWSG post. These questions may prompt you to share advice, insight, a personal experience or story. Include your answer to the question in your IWSG post or let it inspire your post if you are struggling with something to say.

Remember, the question is optional!

November 1 question: November is National Novel Writing Month. Have you ever participated? If not, why not?

I actually loved participating in NANOWRIMO up until I think 2016 or 2017 when I joined OWS. I just had too much on my plate to be able to do NaNo and then I hit burnout and then I’ve been struggling to recover and re-release and had no bandwidth for NaNo. It’s a fantastic tool to force focus on a story and I wrote The Hunters, Elements of a Broken Mind, The Hunted, and Angel’s Dance for NaNo events and all of them were published and re-published because of the drive NaNo gave me. I’m actually really bummed not to be doing NANo this year because at the beginning of the year one of my goals was to have all the books and courses released so I could do NaNo and focus on writing Hell School Sophomoric Slumber. Didn’t hit that goal. But that’s Ok. I may use NaNo as if it was Camp Nano and commit to finishing the layout for the poetry book and finishing MYBM updates. Hoping with the move and everything else I’m not biting off more than I can chew, but it is a worthy goal!
